この時代のチャンピオンやビジネスエースはまるでグランドキングと見まがうような造り込みですが、このチャンピオンカレンダー860も、例にもれず上品なドルフィンハンドにサンバーストシルバーの文字盤が、サイプロクスレンズ仕様のプラ風防の奥でとても落ち着いた輝きをみせており、エレガントな1本となっております。特徴的なのはそれだけではなく、44KSを彷彿とさせるしっかりとしたラグもとても質感良く、裏蓋にはタツノオトシゴが当時防水仕様だったことを教えてくれます。本機は使用感がほとんどなく、OHにお時間をいただきますが、風防や奥行きを持たせてある文字盤など、現行では出せない深い味わいを感じさせてくれています。当時の順高級機は今でも立派な順高級機、否、時を刻んできた味わいが、もしかしたら更に上質感を上げているかもしれません。スタッフからおすすめしたい1本です。
